I love orange blossoms, and I've almost bought Infusion d'Iris a number of times, but didn't. It looks like I will probably take the plunge on this one. How lovely for spring!

Can't wait to smell this and am quite severly in danger of shelling out way too much money… totally love their understatement and sober Italian style. Feels like wearing one of those perfectly tailored Italian suits.

    I don't think I tried Infusion d'Iris, but I liked Infusion d'Homme.
I'd try this if I ever come across it, but I don't like tuberose or jasmine so I doubt I'd like it.
Didn't Prada have a Myrrh/Opoponax perfume? Was the distribution of that more limited?

*Sigh* This along with SL Nuit de Cellophane and the new Annick Goutal will be unsniffed purchases…

I love jasmine and orange blossom, and would like to try. Not getting my hopes up though, the Infusion d'Iris didn't work with my chemistry at all. Gave my sample to my mother-in-law, and it smelled aaamazing on her.

This sounds like it could be very nice, tuberose & orange blossom that's subtle. Definite must try.

im really really excited about this one!!! infusion de homme is my absolute new fav. i even bought infusion de iris for my sister! we both love them! if this is even half as good as those two then im sure to buy it for my sis and maybe even me if a guy could pull it of like infusion de iris. they both smelled so similar. i love the smell of orange blossom, tuberose, and jasmine! march seems so far away!

Orange Blossom is a total weakness scent for me – this one is going on the to-try list and I'd better be employed when it comes out or I'm going to have to resort to crime.

I think Prada's reputation as a perfume house is growing every year…they're really doing a great job. I don't love the exclusives as much as I love the regular line, which is all the better for me ;-)

I'm surprised at how much of my bottle I've managed to use given how rarely I “wear” instead of “test” perfume. Still, wish I'd waited to buy it at discount. Probably won't wait w/ this one either.

Ooh, I'll want to keep an eye on this one. I don't like orange blossom generally, but if given the same treatment as iris in the other one, it might just be perfect, refreshing and spring-y.

They have Fleur d’Oranger testers running about in my local Nordstorms. It won’t be terribly detailed with my experience until you have a review up, but I found it rather lackluster. After a brilliant 3D orange top note, it dulls down to a wan little orange/white musk accord that has a slight allusion to tea. Quite similar to Mandarine Tout Simplement in both effect and subject.

The bottle is amazing, though. =o

I just got a call from NM today that they’ve got it in stock. You’re going to make me cry…I was REALLY looking forward to this! Did you like Infusion d’Iris?

        Don’t cry! =o

Well, we seem close to Evil Scent Twins, but yes, I was quite disappointed. After that amazing 15/30 second top note, it lost me. I really hope you find this to be the perfect Summer 2009 scent (and just think I’m a wing nut ;P).

I loved both of the Infusions. So much I can’t decide which to get. xD

Well, if you love Infusion but don’t love this, that is not a good sign.

But if it turns out I *do* love, I certainly won’t think you’re a wing nut — maybe ;-)

I was excited about this one too and I just tried it today, but it just didn’t do it for me. The Serge Lutens is still the perfect fleurs d’oranger for me. Pitty…

I love orange flower, and infusion d’iris works great for me! The only bad thing is it smells really too light, i dun want my perfume permeate the whole room, but at least it can be smelled by someone who stand right next to me lol…….for the iris one, seems like i’m the only one who can smell it *sign* i love it so much I even bought the traveling size! Anyway, I tried SL’s orange flower one but it smelled like the orange flower was caked by some dirt…….so now in HK, this one was finally in Prada store!!! And only 2 shops out of all the branches here have got it, sales said they will have an official launch around 21st April….but i really can’t wait! So i tracked it down and it smelled just so perfect! Unlike those fruity floral scent that has flooded the market, one can barely distinguish them i guess…..this one is really special, it smells sparkling orangy at the top note, and the dried down smells kinda soapy for me, as if you just get out of a refreshing shower!!! This scent is really worth trying……and it’s birthday gift for myself ;P

      Posted on 4 April 2009

Thanks for the review, it sounds worth trying at any rate! I love the Infusion d’Iris, love orange blossom…just worried about the soapy part, which I sometimes like & sometimes don’t.

Okay, so we were together in the hope springs eternal group and I have to say you are by yourself now. I was near an NM today and stopped in to get a spritz. I forget which thread we were on when I talked about there is soapy like Zest and there is soapy like fine triple-milled French soap and although this is not Zest, it is more like a mid-range hotel soap than a luxury offering. I would be better off rubbing my arm with the Orange Blossom soap I have. The initial spritz is a true delight but I could tell within seconds this was not going to fare well. I don’t mind smelling freshly washed, but I do want to smell like I bothered to rinse. I’m so sad, this was my most-looked-forward-to offering of the spring.

On a better note, I scent-strip-tested the 3 new Sisleys and they are very fun and springy. #1 and #3 will be getting second looks and a skin test next time I am downtown.

      Posted on 5 April 2009

We liked the same Sisleys. The prices is just outrageous though! I thought they were great, but few things in this world are that great….I mean, they’re just summery colognes, after all.

      • Tama
        Posted on 5 April 2009

lol – I didn’t even ask – everything is out of my price range right now so I have to look at all that later. Right now I’m just trying things on. I did try a tiny dab of the LeLabo Fleur d’Oranger last night – MUCH more up my alley – fresh and green and spring-flowery – so far, anyway, it was just a tiny dab. More testing after my shower today.

IIRC, the Sisley scents are $160 each. Ouch!

Long time reader on this sight and first time making a comment on this sight. I went to Nordstrom the other day because I was so hyped up about this one. I like this scent and bought the small bottle. It is a bit pricey at $74.00 but I ran out of the Iris since February. I think this one is a great summer scent for me. My husband made a comment about this one and said to me that I smelled very nice. I will get this for the summer and the Iris which I fell in love with with when it first came out for the winter.

Hi and welcome! Looks like this one is shaping up to be a “love it or hate it”, and more curious than ever to try it. Glad you’re in the “love it” camp!

    Posted on 7 April 2009

Add me to the disappointed camp. I sprayed some on while passing through Bloomie’s, and by the time I was 100 yards out the door, could barely smell it at all anymore. I assumed I must have sprayed too lightly, so when I got to Nordstrom’s, I sprayed some more. It just doesn’t last more than a few minutes on me, where Id’I lasts all day with decent sillage. In the few minutes when I could smell it, though, it smelled identical to the Id’I other than having orange blossom in place of iris. Having one, I don’t need the other at all, even if it did last.

I wonder if you’re anosmic to the musk they’re using … this lasts HOURS on me. Just posted a review…
