Suzanne Shaw – previously in the failed pop band Hearsay.

    I am speechless.

Never heard of her, and sadly, had to google every single other “celebrity” mentioned in this article. Never heard of any of them!

“role model to the Nation”? [rolls eyes violently] I know all my role models ice their tangerines!

Oh man – I am howling with real laughter. Paulie Walnuts has a scent? Awesome. It's so hilariously cheesy. Well, at least he's not pretending to be anything other than what he's known for. 'reeks of macho manliness' – I hope it's every bit as overpowering as I'm imagining it might be. All funny aside, I like the idea of Vincet Cassel as the face of a YSL scent.

Luckily, she isn't a role model to MY nation, LOL…

I never watched the Sopranos so it's all lost on me (except I take back everything I ever said about all the B-list celeb scents in the UK — they're taking on steam in the US now too), and need to google Vincent Cassel.

rather depressingly, my local Boots (and I live in a nice area) must have had a spate of women's tester thefts, because all the decent perfumes are locked up and you have to hunt someone down to take them out one at a time while they stand by you while you try them on. The only scents with testers left out are ALL the z-list and regular celeb scents and rather sticky testers of Ysatis and Lou Lou that have the actual spray cap bit missing (so it's just the white tube sticking up). Wah.

MAKE IT KNOWN YOU MEAN BUSINESS!

    roflol…

That has got to be the 2nd worst tagline I have ever heard for any product. The first, of course, being Billie Dee Williams' ad for Colt 45 Malt Liquor. The billboard depicts him next to a sportscar, with a woman laying on it and it reads… (wait for it) …COLT 45. IT WORKS.

I still can't get over Dancing on Ice… I followed the link to Wikipedia, so I know it's for real, but golly… dancing? On ice? My goodness, I can't dance on terra firma!

Hey! The divine Miz Blige is no b-lister! She's a seriously fine musician and a hell of a survivor.

And surely being a major character on the Sopranos qualifies one for at least A- status, though the whole Paulie Walnuts thing just HAS to be a joke along the line of Alan Cumming's lark.

Hey back — my apologies, I've heard the name but had no idea what she did to be famous. If you say she's a fine musician, I'll take your word for it!

They have something like ice dancing in the Olympics, don't they? Pretty sure I've seen it.

Always happy to spread the news…LOL — here's an article on her from the New Yorker: http://tiny.cc.j18c6

Nevertheless, I'd be the last one to say she really NEEDED a perfume. But it makes total sense to me with the Carol's Daughter line…

Yes! And it is has been heavily controversial in the past with people pushing the envelope all the time – a British duo, Torvill and Dean, set the bar long ago. Okay, I had to find them – this ice dance received perfect artistic scores in 1984 and is really lovely:

    2 things:

They've fixed whatever problem kept long links from wrapping, so we don't have to use tinyurl anymore (not that it hurts!)

And embarrassed to say that I read that article, and apparently as recently as February. I guess the name didn't stick because I hadn't heard of her then and still haven't listened to her music.

Thanks for the link! I think I must have seen that before. And it's lovely, but have to admit it doesn't make me want to watch more on a weekly basis — although don't know if Dancing on Ice is shown here anyway.

No, every four years or so on the Olympics is enough for me – but I look forward to all the ice skating then!
