I really appreciate that it does not smell like every other perfume out there. It is sensual, feminine, fruity, woody & oriental. The smell changes a little as time goes on, ends up more oriental. I sniffed it several times trying to figure out what other scent it smelled like before it finally came to me - Pink Sugar. One caveat though, I only sprayed it on the scent strip they had for it (although it was the size of a Post-it). I was already wearing Kenzo Amour and didn't want to spray the Halle on skin, so it's possible that it would develop into something less sweet after the top notes faded. It's very sheer and fits with the "beachy vacation" vibe of the advertising and website. To compare, I ordered Bodytime's "Green Fig" oil awhile ago, and while I like it, its just too overwhelming to actually wear; not unlike being smothered by a giant fig! This is much, much lighter and more wearable. But it is very sweet, for those of you who cannot stand sweet fragrances. Also, I really like the smaller bottles--why can't everyone do that?
