I've just completed Chandler Burr's Wonderful “The Perfect Scent”, so I shake my head at the list of notes. Pure and natural, huh?
When is Dina Lohan's scent coming out? I love these parents who feel they must live vicariously through their celebrity children. Although, why they are celebrities in the first place is beyond my comprehension.
The “pure and natural” cracked me up. I love natural “gilded amber”!

I just finished reading “Be My Guest”, Conrad Hilton's memoir of his life and business in the hospitality industry. He seemed to be an honest man with integrity, and still down to earth even with all his success. He might be rolling over in his grave at the image his family is portraying today.
Kathy, did anyone ask you to share your secret with us — nooo, so for pete's sake, enough already! Who's next, Paris's dog accesory?
Um, also you'd expect this highly sophistiqué bottle and juice to contain a wee bit more delicate/exotic notes, I mean she does claim to be well-traveled, right? Shoot, I can't even get the irony right, can I, LOL?
And why does *Kathy Hilton* have an entry in Wikipedia?! That's it, I'm off to write up my own!

I know nothing, of course, but can't see this selling. Young women buy Paris Hilton's scents because they want to buy her lifestyle. I don't think young women are lusting after Kathy Hilton's lifestyle, and I don't think older women buy celeb perfumes in such huge numbers. We'll see!
And if this isn't joy enough for one lifetime, she's also launched a skin care line.

Obviously, the “fruity floral” is now intended to appeal not only to those in Paris's age range and younger, but also the age range of her mother. I really don't have much of a problem with Paris's “persona” (viewed in the context of a long history of “socialites”)… but what woman would really aspire to smell like Paris Hilton's MOTHER, for goodness' sakes!?
But hey, at least it's available in a “vintage” roller ball….

Oy vey. You'd think a woman as experienced and worldly as Mrs. Hilton would choose a more sophisticated bottle, let alone more sophisticated notes. I can't wait to see this stuff stocked by the hundreds at my Marshall's.

There are surprisingly few copycat lawsuits, I suppose because they are so hard to prove. Haven't smelled them yet so don't know how similar they really are, but kind of doubt this one will be as “youthful” as VW.
LOL — the “vintage-ness” of the roller-ball is another crack up. My grandmother always used a roller-ball to apply fragrance

I got my underwear in a real twist a couple years ago when Trina (some rap wannabe person) came out with Diamond Princess, because the ad copy was pretty much word for word (and note) a copy of the previously launched Alfred Sung Paradise for Women. DOn't believe? Here's the two

and scentiments descrip adds in the rose de mai and tagetes which are also in the Trina copy (I do remember seeing them in the copy when it was first at nordstrom, but it isn't there anymore). I can understand similiar smelling scents with similiar note listing, but these are identical. You can see this really irks me! LOL Maybe it's just one of those funky coincidences of the universe.
I'm sure there must be a few housefrau living in the middle of no-where who will want to wear this “sent” in the hope that their offspring will one day bring in fame and fortune…. and/or complete disgrace.
Certainly doesn't sound like a funky coincidence, but don't know if it is copying either — could be something closer to “cooperation”. I just don't know.

And I sure as hell don't find the words elegance and sophistication to be synonymous with anyone in the Hilton family.
I have not tried it, but have to agree that I don't assume it is elegant…
