Oh I love cherry blossoms, would be interested in The Body Shop one, but would be happier if the Fuji apple scent is insignificant.
As for Me, with the presence of amber and vanilla, I can almost be certain that it couldn't be my type of fragrance.

I keep hoping I'll find a perfect cherry blossom scent that smells just like Sakura tea, but they are all too fruity. This one looks so much like the BBW one that for a minute I didn't realize it was new.

jJapanese Cherry Blossom: OSMANTHUS!!!!! It's very light, but pretty; preview bottle at my local BS came in early this month.

Not something that interests me at all, but it's coincidental that just yesterday when shopping at L'Occitane, I noticed their Cherry Blossom scent, which I guess is also a relatively new release.

By the way, I enjoyed getting sniffs of the L'O Notre Flore Cedre, and the Iris, which may be a must-have despite the overload of iris lately.

Speaking of our beloved osmanthus, thanks to a dear contributor, I have taken a deep breath and ordered the sample set from Ormonde Jayne. Is hers one of your favourite osmanthus interpretations, Robin? What else should I be on the prowl for?? Japanese Cherry Blossom just doesn't have quite the *stuffing* I'm after.

I LOOOOVES me some cherry blossom.

I haven't smelled this yet, but I really want to. I didn't quite like l'Occitaine's version. i thought it was too sugared.

I LOVE all three of Bath and Body Works' cherry blossom scents, and they're coming out with a new one in april called Blushing Cherry Blossom.

Anyway, the nearest Body Shop is like a half hour away from me, but I haven't been in a while, so it'd be worth the drive.

I really like the OJ, but should mention that I seem to be in a small group, LOL…I don't think many people think of it as one of her best. I do think Frangipani is brilliant.

I adore Hermes Osmanthe Yunnan, and the Parfum d'Empire Osmanthus is also gorgeous. Feel like I'm forgetting a great one, will come back later if it pops into my head…

The L'Occitane was released early last year, and wondering if they're planning to release it again every spring or something?

So far, haven't found a cherry blossom that isn't too sugared for me.

“Me” sounds like an intriguing scent. An added bonus – while wearing it, one could respond to questions such as “Mmmm..what smells so good?” with a casual “Oh it's just Me…”

    Sorry…sorry..probably too early for that…:-)

Bath and Body works is practically giving theirs away this week. I went to get handsoap on sale and the Cherry Blossom stuff was either $5 for the japanese one (which is kind of powdery to me, but oddly my husband really liked it) or 75% off the white cherry blossom stuff. Got a bottle of the perfume for $4. At that price I can use it in my car! :)

Robin, could it be Keiko Mecheri's Osmanthus? I just tried some at The Perfume Shoppe and fell in love. Not having tried the Hermes or the OJ, I don't have much to compare it to, but I loved it just for how it hit me in the moment. So much so, I bought it ;-)

No, that's not it — although do try KM's Bois de Santal, which I think is maybe more about osmanthus that KM Osmanthus. Both are nice though. Do try the Hermes!! Really a great scent; I've almost drained my bottle.

have finally tried the real stuff in store. The body butter smells really nice, it turns out to be much less overpowering than the body shop's other body butters, which is a plus! It smells soft and delicate, it's all floral to me, I won't call it sweet at all… but the fragrance is not half as nice somehow…may be I am wrong, but my immediate reaction upon spritzing is “yuck! (and turned my head away)” and threw the strip away, so I don't know….may be it wasn't that bad…

Oh dear! I never like cherry blossom scents as much as I think I will. Will give the body butter a shot…
