Versace will follow up on last year's signature fragrance for women, Versace Eau de Parfum, with a counterpart for men, Versace Pour Homme. Per Donatella Versace,
I wanted to make it different and be very precise, I didn't want to mix too many smells. Today there are too many components in fragrances on the market — for this I wanted it to have a strong essence.
The aromatic fougere scent was developed by perfumer Alberto Morillas, and includes notes of bergamot, neroli, bitter orange leaves, citron of diamante, geranium, clary sage, blue hycinth, cedar, oud wood, mineral amber, tonka beans and musk.
Versace Pour Homme launches in Italy in April, in the US in August. It will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products. (via Women's Wear Daily) Update: see a review of Versace Pour Homme.

Donatella sounds serious about this news one. Hope that this simplicity will pay of and provide the world with a better and beautiful scent.
That is a REALLY beautiful bottle.
I wonder if they had the nerve to make hyacinth the centrepiece of the scent, because hyacinths smell beautiful, but they're very floral. I expect it's just a grace note. Still, there are some awfully good Versace scents out there (such as The Dreamer), so I'm looking forward to trying this.
I do find the bottle quite and blue juice quite exceptional for a fragrance, but I thought the bottle a bit top much like that of spirits and the blue colour did put me off a bit for fearing that it might smell oceanic.
I'm not a fan of hyacinth scent either (from flower that is), but the rest of the notes seem fine to me…
That looks like a nice bottle and the fragrance notes sound interesting; agree with the above posters on the hyacinth note – not sure how that'll pan out in a men's fragrance.
Me love hyacinths as well and who knows this could be a unisex fragrance.
Very good design this bottle, absolutely stands out.
What's nice about the bottle? I think only the dark blue geometric plastic bottle on the right looks great, but that will be the shower gel…
Never been a fan of the Versace image, but the list sounds quite cologne-ish, I love clary-sage (The latest Jil Sander & Yamamoto fragrances have a sage note) and the hyacinth intrigues me… Let's wait and sniff and hope that the woody-musky base doesn't mean it smells like anything else between Light Blue for Men and something from Boss.
M, I did not like the Versace EdP, but this one sounds more appealing to me. We'll see!
I adore hyacinth, and wish L'Artisan had not discontinued Jacinthe de Bois, which was my favorite. Looking forward to this one too.

Agree I'd like it better in the dark blue, but still think the bottle is handsome. Ack, do hope it won't be as bad as “between LB & Boss”!
Given that it's an aromatic fougere, rather doubt the hyacinth will be prominent, but who knows.

I don't like the Versace imago at all but the Versace dinner services for example are worth to pay attention to. For the rest of it Versace has very decadent stuff, not my taste. And that is why I like this square gem-shaped straight bottle so much. It has a robust simplicity.
It's nothing like Light Blue or any other citrus-aquatic fragrance. I think it's really well done. I can't detect hyacinth at all. The bottle is even nicer in person.
