Ralph Lauren, strawberries? Not for this person. The only time when I like the smell of strawberries is when they are fresh.

Strawberrie milkshake is also a big nono for me as are all other products with strawberrie flavour and scent.

I like green apple though, the one that you don't particularly like Robin. It is all so personal.

Bruna B. has weird botles but I heard that the frags are pretty good.

That Bruno Banani ad has me cracking up this morning – he looks alarmingly like my ex! (who happens to be a total charmer with women) I'll have to try this one and see if it would suit him.

As for the RL – I've got a fruity floral in my collection, don't see a need for another.

I've heard the BB scents are pretty good too. Never seen or tried one though!

They generally do good ads at Bruno Banani! Maybe send your ex a bottle :-)

Regarding the Ralph Lauren, I don't think I've ever seen such a desperate fragrance campaign targeting youth consumers. And it works, too! I wore Ralph back in high school. But strawberries? Oh boy.

Ralph Lauren Safari was such a big hit in the 90's. Admit that I never smelled that one but it must have been better than good..

Nothing to do with R.L. but today I tried Shiseido's Zen again and this one is really great. Not a Chanel but it comes close, it is a classic and with more aldehydes added to it, it would be a dream frgrc. No strawberries nor green apple or whatever fruitsies enter the nose…

Sigh… Sisley is quite good in the clasical sense but then they do not bother to have some more fragrances being developped..?

Even the more a reason to look forward to this coming year of 2008 :-) .

I saw Sisley's Eau de Soir at reduced price in a posh department store, which surprised me. Being discounted in that kind of retail environment suggests it's not long for this world. It's not as if Sisley produce many scents – I wouldn't have thought they would get discontinued until years had gone by. Has it sold really badly, I wonder?

Marianne, I loved Safari from the moment I sniffed it…but I don't think I could wear it today. It's just too 'big' for me. (Or I've got smaller, as Norma Desmond would say).

Another Ralph perfume…I remember I had the first one when I was 18, but only bought it once and then moved on to others.

They do smell good if your in a pinch and need perfume.

Maybe Sisley is not that loved? I have never seen one of their (few) fragrances for sale in a discount. They remain sort of exclusive and classic, meaning that their collection never varies a lot, the same with their makeup line.

Just thought that their fragrances stood out and that Sisley does not compromise to attract a younger audience.

VanillaGirl, I know exactly what you mean with 'a fragrance too big for someone'… I feel the same and would not wear what I had ten or twenty years ago. Don't want to be overwhelmed anymore and the only fragrance that I 'allow' to be powerful is Coco Mademoiselle and that one is for very special occasions..
