Neil Morris for Takashimaya New York ~ new fragrance

Neil Morris for Takashimaya New York perfumeComing this month from Neil Morris will be Neil Morris for Takashimaya New York, created exclusively for the Taskashimaya department store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Morris noted that he “…wanted the fragrance to incorporate the beauty and serenity of the Japanese culture along with the stylish sophistication of Fifth Avenue”:

The subtle, evocative, and serenely compelling Neil Morris for Takashimaya New York opens with top notes of Black Currant, Mandarin, Bergamot and Aldehydes for a sparkling and fresh introduction. Heart notes include Plum Blossom, Jasmine Tea, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Bamboo and Dossinia Orchid, accented with the passionate scent of Narcissus. A precious base note of Cedar is enriched with accents of Oak, Tonka, Orris and Oud for a warm, sophisticated finale.

Neil Morris for Takashimaya New York will be available in 60 ml Parfum for $125. (via prweb)

    Truer words never spoken !

We chose this one ywo weeks ago- from six months' worth of mods.

It's really FBW, lasts forever, and morphs gloriously.

    What a guy !

This sounds really yummy. If its excl to Tak, do you know if will there be samples via NM's website or will Tak have them?

I'm afraid I've no idea, although I'm sure Tak will sell the full bottles on their site. I'm sure if you emailed NM he would answer.

Tak is so hit & miss about what's available online that a store visit is always on my hit list when I'm in NY, but an email to NM is definitely in order since I won't be there for a while (plus I'm going to the Chicago sniffa event next week, & I think I read that there's a NM rep coming with samples, so I'll check then too).

60 ml parfum?! For 125? That's a bargain, isn't it? The notes sound great – jasmine tea, bamboo, cedar… this scent doesn't nead tonka but oh well it's already there.

This sounds like a frag I'd be interested in trying. I looked over the website, some of his fragrances sound glorious!

They really don't have much online, do they? Hope you'll get to smell it in Chicago.

I tried several NM samples, which came really quickly. I sent Neil an email with a question and he answered. I was really shocked. We exchanged several emails, and his suggestions were right on, including one containing musk, which usually doesn't work for me–but in his blendings, it is wonderful. He new my skin via email better than I did!
I'm about to order Swoon, which loves my skin, even in hot weather. Neil is a delight to work with, and amazingly approachable. He loves his work, and it shows.
And I'm interested in this new one, too. It sounds wonderful.

Hi, does anyone know if Neil Morris ships overseas and also, whether he is going to do this scent on his site? It is a major inconvenience being a perfumista in Australia!

Don't know anything about how Tak “works” — I assume the line (as a whole) is only carried in the NY store?

If you happen back through, can you tell us if you'll be selling it on your own website as well?

Again, I know little, but NM does apparently answer his email so I'd try contacting him through his site. Sorry to be so little help!

    Hi Friends!
We're not sure yet on whether or not we'll be doing a sample program on our own or through Taka. Same goes for it being on our site. My guess would be no. But stay tuned cause we're not certain yet.
And Aussiebec – yes, we do indeed ship overseas. You can order online.
Thanks again to all our friends at NST!!!
    Hugs, Neil

I just ordered the sampler (8 fragrances). From what I've read so far, I am very excited.

I was trying to hold off on any more purchases, but… his fragrances looked so intriguing. :~)

Samples don't count as “purchases”, LOL…
