Coach Legacy, Christian Lacroix C'est La Fete Patchouli ~ new perfumes

Coach Legacy fragrance

Coach has launched their second feminine fragrance, Coach Legacy. Legacy follows last year’s eponymous Coach fragrance for women, and is described as fresh, flirty, casual and floral.

A unique blend of soft florals combined with amber, vanilla and precious woods.

Coach Legacy is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum (shown) or in a 10 ml Eau de Parfum purse spray. Many thanks to Shermeen for the tip, and I’ll update with more detailed notes if I can find them. (via coach) Update: Coach Legacy is meant to appeal to a “sexier, younger consumer” than the original Coach scent; the notes feature bergamot, mandarin zest, freesia, orange flower absolute, gardenia brazil, honeysuckle, jasmine, benzoin and cedarwood. Christian Lacroix C'est La Fete Patchouli fragrance

Next month, Christian Lacroix will follow on C’est La Fête with C’est La Fête Patchouli, a new limited edition flanker.

The floriental fragrance includes notes of bergamot, lemon, heliotrope, jasmine, elemi, sandalwood, cedar, patchouli and tonka bean.

Christian Lacroix C’est La Fête Patchouli will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (via phitoussicom, found via parfumessence)

Not sure which one you mean, but they're both nicely packaged!

Ah, just the breath of innovation we need! A blend of soft florals, amber, vanilla AND precious woods. How unique! Here I was, thinking you could kill the entire population of a small village by dropping a single bottle of each of these soft-florals-over-a-sweet-woodsy-base. I must have imagined the truckloads of them. Silly me.

And the bottle looks like a fusion of Lovely and Covet. Box is cute, if a little… busy for my taste.

Christian Lacroix is a pretty bottle too! C Lacroix bottles are pieces of art, and from the two this one sounds prettier too.

LOL — not sure which of the 2 you're talking about, which is perhaps a statement in itself.

Oops…just realized from the notes that you mean the Coach. Yes.

With a name like “Legacy” I would've expected something interesting.

The Lacroix bottle is lovely, and it sounds promising. I wonder if it will come to Nordstrom.

Yes I have to agree with you. The Legacy collection is usually about bold leather bags that are luxurious to the touch so I would have expected something more daring. Though Coach is really about the everywoman who loves leather and bags.

The Lacroix bottle is very pretty though I am always uncertain about patchouli — it could be ultra feminine or just plain ol' pungent.

Question: Isn't elemi used to enhance tobacco?- or is it used as an enhancer of other notes as well? I'll have to google it.

Did the first C'est La Fete end up there? I've tried it, but now I can't remember where.

So true — Coach really ought to do a leather scent.

TheNose — it is amazing how these brands hold fancy press launches & whatnot and then don't bother to take advantage of their own websites to advertise their fragrances. Seriously, the whole description there doesn't even add up to a paragraph.

It's a gum resin — see link to Glossary at bottom of page.

I meant the Coach, but both would look awfully nice on someone's dresser.

Thought the same of the new Banana Republic Classic Limited Edition. It was like they wanted to be careful NOT to say anything enticing, LOL…

The descriptors “fresh, flirty, casual and floral” and “unique” are mutually exclusive and disingenous advertising.

    LOL — probably so.

I just smelled Coach Legacy Today and Must say that as lacking as the script for selling it is the scent delivers in a very BIG way! it is literally Enchating, Nothing Earthshattering (No Black Orchid Here) but it is really and truly Divine! a Real Open and Honest Floral with a Soft Creamy backgorund and something Sharp and almost aldehydic in the back note. It starts off with a clear imprint of something Lushly Fruity, Apricot and Mandarin with a hint of very noticable Rose (either Damask or Bulgarian, couldn't exactly say) and then proceeds to in a very funny way, mimic the Orignal Coach fragrance by all of a sudden turning somewhat into a Green Floral with hints of Labdanum and Mueguet (lily of the Valley) the dry down is the payoff of the Amber (which is really softly and Creamily done and not slap you across the face amber) and the other precious florals such as Jasmine Sambac (which is unmistakable to me at least , i might be wrong, but the note rings out so profusely in Bulgari Pour Femme that i have never failed to sense it out in a fragrance) and Mimosa and i am sure some Orange Blossom Petals in there somewhere, with the barest almost imperceptible touch of Vanilla on the back of the Pallette. Again, it's not the most Revolutionary thing out there, but for a gal that wants to smell really Sophisticated yet Flirty and youthful and perhaps even, Girly without reeking of Strawberry and Caramel (Yes Miss Dior Cherie, I am talking about you!) then this is Absolute fun and well worth a buy. the Bottle and packaging alone make it darn near irresistible!

It sounds lovely! I really didn't care for the first Coach scent though — it was ok, just not something I need.

I tried this, and I liked it much better than the original Coach scent. Perhaps, this isn't so surprising, as I'm part of the intended target audience. I find Coach Legacy to be all the things described, especially a soft floral with woods. I usually don't like woods, but Legacy uses it for a hint of warmth.

The bottle, with the etched Coach C's and the lozenge bottle-top, are beautiful! My only complaint is that the shape of the bottle reminds me of Chanel Chance. Other than that, I love this, and plan to get a bottle for Christmas.

Hope you'll enjoy your bottle then!
