You know who you are…

An ad spot for the new Dior Homme Sport. I guess that's Jude Law? I can't even tell. Via YouTube.

Oh no! This guy is WAY better looking than Jude Law.

Is it *supposed* to be Jude Law? I'm not quite sure I understand this trend of getting a celebrity to front your scent and then making them absolutely unrecognizable….

Definitely Jude Law! But with quite close a shave.

And somehow they seem to have recycled some footage from the Davidoff Cool Water commercial, those waves breaking on the cliffs seem rather familiar looking to me.

It is Jude Law, but is it also his voice talking?

Second jawhara that it looks like the Cool Water commercial.

Fortunately, it doesn't smell like it, although I find Homme Sport rather pointless.

    LOL…

The description for the video uses “Jude Law” as a tag, so I *guess* it's supposed to be him, but who knows. I don't get it either, although the video is rather dark. Maybe it is more obvious w/ a good copy.

I'll have to go look for the Cool Water one…

I haven't smelled it yet. And no idea if it is his voice, although I doubt it.

How strange – the jawline does look like Jude Law, but the build looks off. The accent is also odd, like they've tried to amalgamate a midwest plus uk accents – but I can't see how that would broaden the appeal, part of J's image is that English accent.

Yes, it's Jude for sure. The director of the commercial (forgot his name for now) said this was Hedi Slimane's last fragrance project–and they had to change the concept a bit in this end…

What intrigues me is how the director chose to position the camera so Jude looks younger (cropping out the receeding hairline most of the time, no offense here)…

The one thing I do know is that none of the Jude Law ads will run in the US, so perhaps the accent isn't an issue.

Really, Dior Homme Sport was under Hedi Slimane? Are you quite sure? The timing seems entirely off — Slimane would have been gone before this scent was even developed, I'd have thought, and long gone by the time the ad was shot.

I think it is Jude Law. But it reminds me of a Cool Water commercial.

    Hi,

First, I read your articles since a long time without having wrote any post comment before. But I really appreciate your news and I just can congratulate you to give us such informations about new fragrances to come !

So, Jude Law is the model for this perfume. I've known this information from Dior and in the cosmetiquemag.

I also work in the “perfumery world”. So, I have sometimes a few informations I could tell you with pleasure.

    @ +

    Mathieu (from France)

Hi and welcome! I do know Jude Law is fronting Dior Homme Sport, but didn't think the man in the commercial looked like him at all. Oh well!

I think the model's name is Jamie Dornan. He did the original Dior Homme ad. Since the video above is no longer available, it is difficult to check this out now that I have seen his work on YouTube.

Are you getting an error message? It is playing fine for me.

It played okay this morning. This evening it says: We're sorry, this video is no longer available. I tried YouTube and found a German ad for it that still looks like Jamie, not Jude to me. Jude is blonder and with less hair on top.

Hey, I'm getting the error message now too. Ah well. It'll be back on YouTube eventually.

Is it the new COOL WATER ad ? If it's not, it looks like a lot …! That's weird ….

I totally agree with you, it's the same ad ! What a lack of imagination from Dior !!

What a pity for them, paying Jude Law millions of dollars and we don't even recognize him … That's too bad !

Yep, totally agree with the recycled footage of waves breaking on the cliff, and Josh Holloway (from Lost) in Cool Water ad is thousand times hotter than Jude !!! Sorry for Jude's fans !

I am waiting to smell it for a definitive judgement, however as far as I saw, it seems Dior is not creative any more since Hedi Slimane left.

Dior Homme Sport is very much inspired by Chanel Allure Homme Sport and the TV spot is just a copy of Cool Water.

They probably hired Jude Law to have something to tell…. So sad, I loved the brand before

I still need to go look up the Cool Water ad…

It really is a shame, he did such a great job w/ the male fragrance line while he was there.

I think Daniel Craig would have been an interesting choice for the ad campaign (new James Bond). Dirty blonde hair, ice blue eyes, coming out of the surf….

I got to smell Dior Homme Sport this weekend – every salesperson in every major departement store in Paris seems eager to shower customers with it. Smells more or less like fresh ironed shirts, just way less agreable. Hubby first found it uninteresting and then disgusting and raced to the nearest restroom to scrub it off after a few minutes (though he's no perfume newby, mind you, he loves things like MKK, Borneo, Philosykos and Avignon).

Ack, less agreeable than fresh ironed shirts is *not* compelling!
