it's not a BAD way - perhaps it's just that I need to be careful with the giddiness. 'Giddy" and 'construction site' is a bad mix, LOL!

I'll take a look at the health foods place near me, they have lots of EOs. Too bad it can't make you giddy in a good way, though!

it really is useful (you can dab a touch on a wrist)...but in very small quantities. Larger quantities negates the calming effect and can make you giddy - and not in a good way.

and clary sage is also used in a lot of aromatherapy for female hormonal/emotional issues. It is always to be used sparingly. Clary Sage essential oil, used very sparingly, has a clean, vibrant scent.

I would say both...remember that the scent of *real* ambergris is not supposed to be all that great in large quantities -- in small quantities, as we know, it smells wonderful.

This was really a fascinating article, thanks for posting! I've seen clary sage listed as a note (in my beloved Fleurs de Sel, for example), but I didn't realize it was being used as a fixative! Or is it used for both? The article seemed to suggest that the scent of the plant wasn't all that great.
