Trussardi has launched Essenza del Tempo, a new fragrance inspired by Italy’s “slow movement” (slow cities, slow food) and celebrating the true luxury: time.
Essenza del Tempo is a unisex EdT with a powdery, woody composition, created by IFF’s Sophie Labbé, and comes in a bottle designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff, which is decorated with a leather strap to evoke the company’s heritage.
The fragrance notes include bergamot, carrot seed, ginger, coffee, balsamic vinegar, amber, iris and cedar.

Gianfranco Ferre has launched Acqua Azzurra, a new fresh woody fragrance for men inspired by the Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto) of Capri.
Acqua Azzurra was developed by perfumer Mark Buxton, and features notes of bergamot, rosemary, orange blossom, rose, violet leaves, ginger, wave accord, gaiac wood and patchouli.
Gianfranco Ferre Acqua Azzurra is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products. (via sfilate.it, ideaalkosmeetika.ee)

Does anyone other than me find it funny that a scent inspired by the slow movement has coffee in it? Maybe it's decaffeinated.

LOL at Jirish's comment, but do look forward very much to the Trussardi: the bottle is lovely and so is the ad – no androgynous faces faking post-coital bliss. Not least importantly, the notes sound intriguing so hoping Sophie Labbé did a nice job on this.
Although not a huge fan of marine scents, I'm curious to see Marc Buxton's take on the theme. The Ferre is already out here anyway…

The Tempo one does sound lovely. I can't say the bottle does it for me though.
I'm curious though is carrot seed the actual seeds from which you grow carrots, or a name for something else? Because from my ill fated attempts to get all Good Life and grow my own I can't recall them smelling of anything.

Since we're on the subject, I tried A-men Pure Coffee. It smells like wearing Angel in Starbucks.
A powdery, woody unisex by Trussardi! And balsamic Vinegar? Interesting… Those “natural”, soft waters seem to become a trend. It's really time for Trussardi to do something successful (and interesting!) outside of Italy. They have quite a heritage but released so many totally superfluous scents. This one could be nice.
I think Trussardi has coffee in all or maybe almost all (?) of their fragrances. I still haven't tried the A*men!
Even in Europe they seem to focus on the Mediterranean market. The only one widely available is their classic (notorious) men's leather scent in the black croc-embossed plastic bottle. I have a bottle of their scent called “Light Him”, which I once bought in Germany from a rummage table. I loved it and when finished I looked for it for years and eventually found it in Portugal…!
it tried it today, it is still lingering on my arm, but alas, it's a disappointment. it's a quite easy scent, far from complicated, fresh, citrusy, suitable for both genders alike, with the drydown tending more to the masculine. opens up with fresh bergamot, maybe ginger (i have no idea how carrot seeds are suppossed to smell). so much for the freshness, which is subdued a bit by coffee and iris in the background. the drydown is more masculine.

from the moment i spritzed it on, it reminded me of something very, very familiar, and then it occurred to me, it's very much like CK one! to me, the resemblance is quite striking although they have only few notes in common. to me, trussardi is more masculine in the drydown, with more flowery feeling in the middle, but as such, not much of a difference. nice but not really interesting. the bottle is another story though, gorgeous!
i wonder how it should be associated with the slow food movement?

Not a one, and I've never laid eyes on one either. I wouldn't be surprised if you can find them here, I'm probably just not in the right places.

It's funny you should say it smells like CK-one, because I found it very similar to CK-be actually! I tried it on yesterday and it did smell very familiar, mostly woody but also quite fresh. For me it really does capture the “essence of time”, as its name says. Took me back to childhood memories of siestas on freshly ironed, white cotton sheets on a hot summer afternoon, a breath of the sea breeze coming in from the window, mixing with the smell of leather-bound books resting on the bedside table… also made me think of a man -guess it is rather masculine, can't wait to find out how it smells on my boyfriend- who shares his time between libraries -full of old, leather bound-books- and safari-type adventures. (Does any of this make sense? I have never smelled a fragrance that evoked so many images before, but then again I do live in the Mediterranean (Greece), so I guess it's much easier for me to relate to its spirit).
By mistake, my daughter sprayed a citrus scent on top of my hand which had a spritz of Essenza del Tempo, and boy it was gorgeous ! By itself Essenza to me, is a boring perfume….. nothing significant and yes, evokes slow cities and slow food. To some, it might be nice as it is not loud and doesnt disturb concentration at work. But layer it with something citrusy and its beautiful !

The funny thing is, my daughter sprayed much of it, that the fragrance of both scents remained on the carpet. When my husband came in he said : “wow, what is that ?´´ I replied : a citrus fragrance and Trussardi… by accident. He said : “Wear that often !´´ I replied : “Which– the carpet ? or the perfume ?´´

But the combination is so much better than a citrusy scent and a vetiver. The combination is VERY BEAUTIFUL and mysterious. Now if only they can bottle it. Trussardi doesnt last as long as my citrusy scent. so thats the problem. You have to bring the 2 bottles to work I suppose and this Trussardi doesnt have a body lotion I think ?
