If that were me they would have been hitchhiking about 800 km from the city! (LOL) I don't miss the shoulder pads either, but they worked on this jacket because of the length and because the fabric was fluid. I seem to remember short, stiff jackets with the linebacker shoulders. Sigh, that's what happens when a style trickles down from the Yves Saint Laurent original to something that I can afford. I was just recently introduced to the Paris fragrance, and so don't have some people's bad memories of smelling it on everyone, and of it being overpowering (although I'm sure it can be that way if oversprayed). But I love it. Wearing it, I feel somehow that I'm lifted a few socioeconomic brackets, transformed from an ordinary person to a wealthy Manhattan socialite, off for an evening at a ballet gala! When this video begins you can see those heavier beautiful heels.
