Estee Lauder Sensuous Is…

Estee Lauder website screen shot

Estee Lauder has launched a new website, Sensuous Is, in conjunction with their upcoming launch of the Sensuous fragrance for women.

The website features behind-the-scenes material on the four models representing the fragrance (Hilary Rhoda, Carolyn Murphy, Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow), plus a contest offering the winner a chance to attend the fragrance launch in New York City from 7/7 – 7/9 (plus do some shopping and spa-ing).

You can also click through to Bloomingdales to pre-order Sensuous. Sensuous will be exclusive to the website and to Bloomingdales through the month of June, then will debut at Estee Lauder counters in July. (via press release from Estee Lauder)

I'm really looking forward to trying this. I think the bottle looks great, too. Hopefully it lives up to expectations.

I hope so too…there is little enough else I'm looking forward to (perfume-wise) this year!

Poivre Piquant (honey/pepper) and Bois D'Argent (wood/honey) came to mind when i smelled Sensuous. Looking forward to reading reviews.

This looks very appealing! Like a modern Youth Dew.

This days i discovered that Paco Rabanne is going to launch One Million, a fragrance inspired by gold that have copper as one of it notes. Now I'm looking forward to try it!

I hate Gwyneth Paltrow, and thanks God there are three more beautiful models, except her, representing this fragrance. The bottle looks exepnsive, hope, the scent will be good too.

I saw the ad for 1 Million but haven't read much else about it. Good name!

Glad you like at least 3 of them, they must be paying quite a bit to have 4 faces for the scent!

I'm a teensy bit afraid of the lilly, magnolia, jasmine combination. My hope is that they don't amp those up and turn it into yet another fruity/floral.
It could be great, although I'm still not clear on what “molten woods” is.
Half of me thinks of a toothpick floating in Lyle's Golden syrup and the other half imagines a fire-y lava-like flow with smoldering sweet gum and cedar trunks. And then there is that “melting dining room set” image that kind of haunts me.
I'm sure all the models are young, gorgeous and thin, so I can't identify with anything there. Back to the wood image. . .

Molten woods: wet wood in a state of decomposotion with some fungi and a truffel here and there.. American Aoud maybe? Texas Aoud?

Looked forward to try Sensuous Is.. but when I see those models I'm not sure anymore. Not a classic image.

A perfume should not have a model, just a name to leave it to our imagination.

I'm a bit surprised that in this 'Obama year', the brand choses 4 muses and everyone of them is white ! For their skincare ad, they have Liya Kebede. As they decided to have several faces for the fragrance, they could have taken Liya Kebede also. No ? Aren' t black women sensuous ?

“Melting dining room set”, LOL! But the models are supposed to represent 4 different age groups, so you're supposed to identify w/ at least one of them unless you're too old for EL to even care about, ha ;-)

The website is called “Sensuous Is”, but the scent is just called “Sensuous”. I'm looking forward to trying it too…

True! They were going for 4 different age groups, and I guess that's all the diversity they were after.

    Of course Robin, Sensuous ;-D

“American Aoud” is wonderful. I would think Pennsylvania Aoud, not Texas Aoud. We have some beautiful forests here. I'm ignoring the models and hoping this is a scent that isn't meant for adolescents. I hope they release it in your area as well as here so we can compare notes (so to speak). I'm very optimistic that it will be FBW, especially since, given that it's a Lauder scent, it will be affordable.

Looked at the website and I think it is well done. Is this the first website about one particular fragrance?

Of course the women are too slender with beautiful long hair and it is one big commercial but it does speak to me.

Very much looking forward to try this -again ;)

Estee Lauder is such a great perfumehouse and yes affordable and accessible too!

No, there are actually tons of websites about single fragrances…although can't remember if EL has done them in the past.

Today I gave Chloe's newest fragrance another try and girls, if you really like Estee Lauders Pleasures and White Linen plus their flankers, then you will for sure like Chloe's newest scent. It is very feminine, not too sweet and especially the drydown could be a very sensual and sensuous Estee Lauder scent, but then it is Chloe of course..

    I still haven't tried Chloe!
