LOL -- that's funny! Or, their personalities were so similar that they chose the same scent? Who knows!

Hey, did you listen to the "smell safari" radio thing I posted? They mention Drakkar Noir! And favorably.

Jazz, I think, is just no longer "officially" exported to the US.

When I first read that "the Axe ads are relatively accurate", I though what a load of doody- but then again, I used to know three guys who lived together and wore the same cologne- and somehow I ended up dating all three of them (at separate times, of course). Maybe it was more their scent than their personalities!

Oh come on, what's *wrong* with Drakkar Noir! Haha. It's perhaps dated, yes, but in small quantities I can still see why it was so popular for almost a decade.

And as far as I know, YSL Jazz isn't discontinued -- or it was brought back -- I see it on online discounters all the time. I LOVED that about 15 years ago -- or more like 18 years ago, ack! -- and keep meaning to order a small bottle one of these days mostly for nostalgia's sake (as well as some Grey Flannel and Tommy).

Man in the raw! Ha! Love that phrase. I believe MITR can be very alluring...but it generally has to be a clean MITR. I actually prefer scent on a man but it needs to be wore with discretion. Faced with a cloud of Axe (or BOD, bod forbid) or a hygeinic MITR, I'll take the 'raw' any day.

But a washed-up man, sporting, say, Bigarade Concentree? or Poive Samarcande (sparingly please)....? Sign me up!

The weather's warmed up here, and everywhere I go that's got a large population of men (eg, two trips to DIY store this week), the smell of sweaty clothes and undeodorised body bits has been suffocating. Men, please don't believe this is a turn on! Yes, women like me prefer even a toxic cloud of Axe (Lynx over here) to untrammelled armpits! (And, actually, I love to smell a well-scented man. I'd rather they overdid it than confronted me with man-in-the-raw.) In truth, I've never followed a bloke up the street because he smelled so good, but I have trailed after a few women to soak up their sillage (and yes, I always ask).

This is exactly why I don't buy cologne for DH. In my single 20s I had a workplace fling with a guy because his scent drove me wild. (Jazz by YSL. So glad that one's dc'd.)

Drakkar Noir can be found as easily as amazon.com :-)

No idea on Truth or Contradiction, sorry! You might try emailing Calvin Klein.
