Sean John Unforgivable Woman Black perfumeSean John has launched a new limited edition flanker duo for his Unforgivable and Unforgivable Woman fragrances.

Sean John Unforgivable Woman Black is shown at right:

Only the most premium and luxurious ingredients were used to create this masterpiece, ensuring a truly unique and highly prized collector’s fragrance.

The fragrance notes include piña colada, sheer jasmine, ylang ylang, bergamot, fresh apple skin, dewy white cyclamen petals, cassis, pomarose, iris, coconut milk and Seychelles coco de mer.

There is also a Sean John Unforgivable Black for Men. It can be found, again, at many of the online discounters or in-person at Sephora or Macy’s. According to perfumewave, the notes include coconut, kahlua, coffee liquor, calone, pepper, amber and warm woods. It is in 75 ml Eau de Toilette, and I’ll update if I find more information. Update: Macy’s lists an entirely different set of notes ~ lemon, bergamot, tangerine, grapefruit, champagne accord, lavender, and Asian pear.

Um… CdG Pearly Monster, anyone? (I know, I'm always doing this matching game… I can't help myself!)

But see, CdG has the right idea — why redo your bottle for a flanker when you can just wrap a cheap bead necklace around it? Right?

“most premium and luxurious ingredients” I see P.Diddy has been taking sales lessons from Susan Lucci.

The bottle looks like it has some of that nasty plant you get on top of ponds round it's neck.

Though the man's one sounds quite interesting.

I thought it was more CDG Beady Monster, but either way, it's monstrous, all right.

And “most premium and luxurious ingredients”? With that list of obvious synthetics, none of which could cost more than a small fraction of naturals? What a load! If there's more than about three per cent actually natural ingredients in there, I'll buy a bottle and drink it.

I think you're right about Beady vs. Pearly. :)

The whole Puff Daddy (P Diddy?) aesthetic continues to mesmerize me. :)

No doubt you're right. I only tried it VERY briefly on a test strip, but it smelled to me like they just amped up the woody/musky base note. I wasn't interested enough to get a sample & try it next to the original, but maybe we'll get lucky and someone who did just that will comment.

Then you must do a news search…just saw someplace or another that he is buying a place in LA so he can concentrate on his Hollywood career or something.

If the list of notes for the men's is correct, sounds like they tweaked that one more than the women's. Haven't smelled it though.

Puff/Piff/Poof Daddy and his empire is endlessly repellant to me.

I haven't even tested the original ones yet. *sigh* Hard to keep up with all that's out there.

I can't believe no one has commented on the name. “Unforgivable Black”! It's going to be the signature scent of Obama's pastor. At least the feminine is not called “Unforgivable Black Woman.”

    Puff Piff Poof! Good one…

I thought they were both much nicer than your “average” celebrity scents, whatever that means, but you'll live if you never get around to them.

Unforgivable Black Woman! I'll bet some perfume store, somewhere or another, will print it that way.

The description reminds me of the B Smoov columns from the Onion…. Baby, I'll wrap you in the finest silk. And I will make you eggs. You will be given perfume with only the most premium and luxurious ingredients, such as pina colada. And then we will hit it.

“And I will make you eggs” made me weak in the knees.

The whole thing comes across as a joke. The most premium piña colada? The plastic beaded necklace for the bottle? The name, it all just seems like a spoof.

I've been posting these so long now that almost every new release sounds at least vaguely like a spoof ;-)

I was in New York when they lauched this perfume. I had the Unforgivable Woman perfume which I really liked, so I couldn't help but try on the Black one. It's actually not bad, but I was attracked to the bottle more then anything. I liked the beads on it. The perfume smells like vanilla; it reminds me some what of M by MC.

So how would you describe the difference between UW & UWB — just more vanilla in the UWB?
