Fragrance gifts for Mother’s Day 2008, part 1

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11th. Here are a few scented gift suggestions:

Estee Lauder Collector box

Isn’t this pretty? From Estee Lauder, “an exquisite collection featuring four of the world’s favorite fragrances: Beautiful, Pleasures, White Linen and Youth Dew. These rare parfums are treasured as the richest, most luxurious way to wear a scent. Each numbered, limited edition collection arrives in a striking blue presentation box–a collector’s dream”. $350 at Saks.

Apothia Velvet Rope fragrance diffuser

Did everyone but me know that Apothia was making diffusers? Here is one in Velvet Rope, the “dry vanilla martini spiked with absolute jasmine and a twist of grapefruit”. $78, or get the candle for $46.

Is Mom stressed? A lavender eye pillow (and a budget gift): “Use at room temp or from the freezer, to soothe tired eyes. Also great to melt tension headaches.” 100% cotton filled with flaxseed and lavender buds, $9.00 and available in a variety of fabrics from Impromptu Designs at Etsy, where you’ll also find lavender eye pillows with matching yoga mats.

Solange Azagury Partridge Stoned candle

Is Mom really stressed? How about a candle from Solange Azagury-Partridge in the Stoned fragrance, advertised as “the most fun one can have being Stoned without breaking the law”. The scent is sweet candy, patchouli, bergamot, rose, jasmine, labdanum, benzoin, tree moss, heliotrope, musk and vanilla. $65 for a 6.3 oz candle in a glass jar, at Beautyhabit.

Bronnley Africa soaps

Is Mom dreaming of far-off places? The Bronnley “Destination Africa Soaps”, in Nutmeg (with ginger, cinnamon & sandalwood), Cinnamon (with clove & aniseed), Vanilla (with walnut) and Allspice (with nutmeg, fig, chamomile, cedar, clove, musk & patchouli). $22 for the set at Hampton Court.

Have you seen the LE Estee Lauder solid perfume compacts? They cost around $80 and are gorgeous… one is a blue and gold nautilus shell, another is a gold petite teapot… too cute.

Yes, they're all adorable! I've featured several of them in holiday gift articles. Neiman Marcus has a pretty good selection of them online.

Oh I love those Estee Lauder exclusives!

Also like the soaps a lot, nice theme.

I wouldn't mind having either of those :-)
