Fracas is one of those fragrances that is a stunner. People either love it or they hate it. Most people seem to like it on me, but I layer it and wear it very sparingly. The sillage is a beast! I was holding a baby whilst wearing Fracas and he smelled of it for the rest of the day!

Your day sounds like a lovely one. We're in the midst of storms and very unstable weather here – fighting the 'wet dog' smell. Two wet Rottweilers……..

Wow Mb, had no idea about Djedi. I know that I never gave the 'pre-war' perfumes much thought, well exept for the famous ones of course that are still being mentioned.

So nice, more to explore in perfume world.

How do people respond to you when you wear Fracas for example? I mean that is also a heavyweight from before.

Today it is a lovely early spring day and my Hb and I go to a terrace overlooking Prague, to see if we can have lunch with a good glass of wine outside again.

Good girl, washing your curtains…you have spring in your system..your house must smell wonderfull now with Muguet du Bois!!

Djedi is an old Guerlain fragrance of such uncommon gravity that the notion of it being in a goofy little bobble-head bottle is……..well, it just isn't imaginable! For more info on Djedi, Google “Djedi” + “Guerlain” – there are reviews of it out there. It is said that Vero Kern's Onda closely resembles it – haven't sniffed the Onda yet so I couldn't say….

They reissued Djedi a few years ago but I think it's again discontinued. Bottles go for ridiculous sums. I'm not quite up to the fragrance myself, though I love most of the old Guerlains. Hope you're having a great weekend. I spent my Saturday washing curtains and spraying them with Muguet des Bois. Smells like spring in here, even though it's hailing outside!
