    Prunes + Cereal = ?

I don't know, but the girl in the ad looks like she'd be right at home in a “gentle laxative” type commercial.

Seriously though, prune? Couldn't you say “dessicated plum” or something?

LOL — you know, I'm translating from the Italian. Perhaps it ought to be plum, I don't really know.

Maybe fiber is the new lychee? ;)

I wish they would bring back Venezia… sigh…

I have three fragrances by Laura Biagiotti: Laura, Venezia and Acqua di Roma so I really like her scents.

I cannot place cereal either but at the moment I am wearing En Passant by Frederic Malle and this has baked bread in it and I am loving it.

Cereal? For some reason that doesn't sound all that appealing. Eau De Special K? *wrinkles nose*

Ah, but there are some lovely perfumes w/ “cereal” or grain notes. Parfumerie Generale's Cedre Sandaraque comes to mind, and I know there are others I can't think of at the moment.

    Vetiver Tonka!

And on me, Guerlain's Mahora (now Mayotte) has a very fine buttered popcorn moment in between the white flowers and the vetiver…

Lots of vetivers in general, I bet, have a cereal note in them.

Duh, yes, VT! And there's the popcorn in Miss Dior Cherie as well.

NowSmellThis: I'll definitely take you up on your suggestion on Parfumerie Generale's Cedre Sandaraque. Just tell me where it can be located, and I'll give it a whiff or two *smiles*
I guess it's just me, but I found Miss Dior Cherie WAY too sweet for me. I think some precious nose hairs got burned with that one, but to each his own I guess…
I'd really love to smell the original Miss Dior (I've been looking everywhere around here, and still no dice).

You can order samples from Luckyscent, assuming it is worth $4 to you!

Miss Dior is no longer so easy to find “in person”, unfortunately…my local Christian Dior counter doesn't have it.

Really?! Miss Dior is so easy to find all over Europe…

But I wanted to tell you about my first impressions of Biagiotti's latest scent: it's not terribly innovative but nicely done. Plum, white flowers, a creamy light base: it's a comforting and delicious but not too foody scent, quite light – a nice summer perfume but not a *must have*.

Thanks for the description, I'm not sure I'll ever get to try it!

You're welcome. Don't worry about not getting it to try. It's doubtful that Donna will survive the next five years – it's too indistinctive for this overcrowdes market IMHO.
