Oh, I love KenzoAmour. I bought it for my mom last Mother's Day and she tells me about all of the compliments she gets for it all of the time...which just makes me glow a little bit because I chose that perfume without her prior knowledge (I just smelled a bunch of stuff and chose what I could see my mom wearing the most).

However, if it's been pinked up, I might have to pass on it for her...she's turning 49 and not really a pink sort of girl. The KenzoAmour is sophisticated but mellow - and she works at a spa.

Really, do you hate pink pepper that much? It doesn't bother me, just sort of cracks me up that everybody's using it.

I'm wearing Indian Holi today, and the fruital opening is not as pronounced as I previously thought. And this is quite possibly the first perfume with pink pepper that I don't find awful. Still, I prefer the original Amour.

Well, it depends on many factors, but I can think of lots of scents w/ unpleasant top notes that I consider full bottle worthy. Since Amour already exists though, I'd be more tempted to just layer it with something else rather than buying a flanker I didn't entirely love.

Or, give it another week and see how much you miss it?

LOL, umm, it does look just like the other one I have (also Pink Fushia) but with the cool lettering.

You know, I love the dry down. I really do, but I do not think I like dealing with the top notes. Would you live with top notes you don't like for a good dry down? It dries like Amour with a bit of pepper, and I really like this...hmm, I guess I test this al week until the sample is gone :)

Seriously R, what would you do? (Let us pretend the bottle does NOT exist!)

I can believe you were imagining it among your other bottles! We'll have to hope they do another, more interesting flanker next year.

R, I have a generous sample of the Amour Indian Holi, and, ugh, the first impression is "why so much flowery sweetness, I love the Amour, and R, I do urge you to get a bottle of two of that, you won't be sorry, I seem to go to it very often and now I wish I had purchased a bigger bottle (something I never do).
And I also agree with wishing for more Kenzo along the line of the Oriental, tht is my favorite Kenzo so far. (oh, I like the Tokyo, it is clean and rather nice).
While I am not running to wash this Indian Holi off, and I am hoping for something better to happen in an hour or so, I do not like the opening. I am really fussy about rose and also peony. I don't think I like it. Maybe I should be relieved? (But I was imagining it among my other bottles!)

Legislative restriction would save us from many annoying flankers, LOL, wouldn't it? And presumably, we wouldn't end up with 800+ fragrances a year. I'll go for it :-)

Hey I think there should be a legislative restriction on the usage of interesting names for uninteresting fragrances!

How come you name a thing like this with the word INDIAN and leave unpunished?? Perfumes like Nu (YSL) and Madness (Chopard) stay tuned on what the word Indian evokes in our mind without even shouting about it or trying to catch the interest. Because they already HAVE it in themselves.

I know I'm repeating a lot of people out there, but really I hoped for something in the direction that the Flower Oriental went away from it's original which I certainly did NOT like and Amour was too much vanilla for my almond-incense-vetiver nose raised up by chef-d`ouvres like Cartier Baiser du Dragon and Flower oriental (is it only me, or they really have a LOT in common?!) and spices in the forementioned Madness and Nu.

Disappointment. Again. Kenzo, where did your experimenting JUNGLE sense go? Anyway, actually. Sadly, to me Flower Oriental was more of a surprise than the Indian Holi, you know what I mean, don't you...
