I went into boots on Monday and she has a new one – Vivacious. i didn't even know that she was bringing out another one. I really liked it but my sister complained that it's 'like fantasy'! ( I on the other hand am planning to buy a bottle next week!)

Arggh, the gourmand-fruity celeb fragrance explosion (confusingly) continues. Why–why do these celebs agree to paste their faces on fragrances that should be added to snack cakes and soda rather than pulse points? The whole mass of attempts reminds me of someone trying to recreate Edvard Munch's famous painting “The Scream”; it can only be done “right” once (even in that case, an audience remains divided over it) and after that, it's just a sub-par recreation of pastel-like brush strokes. How many times can these development groups combine tropical fruits, foody scents and berries before the public screams “Uncle!”…(you don't have to answer my primal “scream” of frustration…I'll understand. ;D)

I also have no idea who she is, and yeah, it sounds like the typical sickly sweet celebrity fare…but did anybody else find this funny? “It's described as sexy, fruity and enticing, much like Kelly Brook herself.” Sexy and enticing I can see, but is it a flattering thing for a person to be described as fruity? Ha ha!

Not about the Kelly Brook scent, but I sniffed the 'Katie Price' (aka Jordan) scent recently. I don't think I have ever smelled anything quite as sweet in my life. It must be targeted at three year-olds. And apparently she's bringing out another frag…

The faux-celebrity perfume thing seems especially strong in the UK at the moment, don't know why….but it is tiresome to keep up with!

I don't really know Kelly Brook and I realized I was not interested to know. The dizzying array of new “perfumers,” from celebrities and faux celebrties alike, is becoming a huge turn-off — enough to make one run to one's perfume cabinet and hide. It's like the invasion of the scent snatchers, and there is no end in sight.

Sigh.
