Stella McCartney Stella Velvet Edition, Givenchy Very Irresistible Sensual Velvet ~ new fragrances

Two limited edition collector bottles for fall, both based on purple velvet:

First, Stella McCartney’s Stella Eau de Parfum “gets dressed in a luxurious plum-colored rubber velvet casing” for the Stella Velvet Edition. I was really hoping this was an all new fragrance (doesn’t a velvety version of Stella sound nice?) but alas, it is just the same juice in a pretty bottle.

The Stella Velvet Edition Eau de Parfum is available in 100 ml for $84 at Nordstrom.

Not to be outdone, Givenchy has launched Very Irresistible Sensual Velvet. The notes are identical to those of Very Irresistible Sensual, so this appears, again, to be the same juice decorated with a “delicate velvet rose”. According to Sephora, where this limited edition is $65 (size and concentration unknown), you are to “spray this sensual fragrance on the rose and wear it as a bracelet, hair accessory, or brooch for an added touch of seductiveness”.
