Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille ~ new fragrance

Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille perfumeGuerlain has launched a new limited edition fragrance highlighting vanilla, a key ingredient in the house’s famous Guerlinade.

Spiritueuse Double Vanille was created by perfumer Jean Paul Guerlain, and includes notes of vanilla, spices, benzoin, frankincense, cedar, pink pepper, bergamot, Bulgarian rose and ylang ylang.

The bottle’s label warns the user that Spiritueuse Double Vanille is “a carnal and aphrodisiac scent (…) to be used without moderation”.

Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille is €140 for 75 ml Eau de Parfum. (quote via osmoz, additional information via aufeminin) Bonus reading: a recent interview with Jean Paul Guerlain in Le Figaro (in French).

Other recent releases from Guerlain: Huiles de Parfum Garden Sensuel & Oud Sensuel, L’Instant Magic, Quand Vient La Pluie, Vol de Nuit Evasion, My Insolence.

    Hi R,

Do you know if this one will be available when I am in Paris in November? I love my vanilla and this one is calling my name. :)

    Thanks,

    Dawn

Both Osmoz & AuFeminin imply that it is available now overseas, so I don't know why not!

I know they had testers at BG recently, don't know if they have the scent for sale yet.

I'm going to have to visit mickey mouse land for this in November, it's going to be available at Epcot, in “France” of all places. They do have a fantastic perfume shop there! Marina warned it's not that good but I'm gonna have to smell it for myself:-)

When I was in that shop in “France”, it had nothing that you couldn't find at Macy's. Hear it has improved drastically — figures it did so after my trip!

I think EPCOT has the largest Guerlain boutique in the US. Its absolutely gorgeous when you're in there. But you're right – it usually has just the regular line, nothing extraordinary. HOWEVER – I do remember that they were the only place in the US where you could buy the original Philtre d'Amour in 1999 – I know b/c thats where and when I bought it. It would be nice if they had the Paris exclusives there – just because it would be lovely to actually see them displayed in a beautiful setting. The small BG boutique is just – well, really small and uninteresting.

When I'm in EPCOT, I always spend so much time in the Guerlain boutique and the Perfume shop next door – even though they have nothing I haven't already smelled before – but its just such a great atmosphere.

I hear it has a much better stock now, but haven't been in a few years so can't say for sure. The only gift store I really loved in EPCOT was in “Japan” — fabulous stuff there.

Hi Robin! I'm waving to you from Kennedy Airport with three more hours 'til boarding time! I can't wait to try the new Guerlains and the new l'Artisan, too, when I get to Paris. There IS a new l'Artisan, isn't there?? I didn't bring perf with me on this trip except for that Hermes tiny bottle of Rose Ikebana that you and I split a set of in NYC long years ago ;D.
Is there anything you would like me to bring you this time?
    A bientot,
    L

Hey, waving back! Hope it is a great trip, L, and as always, wish I was packed away in your luggage :-)

The new L'Artisan is Iris Pallida. Don't know if it is out yet, but worth checking! So much new stuff at Guerlain that they'll keep you busy anyway, and they might have Vetiver Pour Elle at the flagship by now.

Also worth checking out, if you're planning lots of shopping: Givenchy's reissues (Les Mythiques), Lancome La Collection Cuir, Serge Lutens Sarrasins.

But once again, can't think of anything that I need and am willing to pay for!

Hello Robin, where can I order this perfume?

Bergdorf Goodman in NY has it, and possibly the Neiman Marcus in downtown San Francisco as well. I'm pretty sure those are your only 2 options in the US.
