And so does that price at Amazon. Your comment about the frequent use of dramatic prose in non-fiction books about perfume really made me stop and think about how much I take that for granted. I think that may be due to the fact that my own love of perfume is so intense and so far removed from anything rational. However, more and more I'm fascinated by the scientific aspects of scent and perfume and find myself interested in reading books that really are purely educational in that respect. This book sounds absolutely perfect. And so does that price at Amazon.

The lecture drew directly upon his perfume research for the book. He even discussed that wonderful Bonnard painting. I hadn't really known what to expect from his talk, and I thought he would just be showing slides of some antique perfume bottles, the usual, etc. I was thrilled to hear what he had actually been thinking and writing.
