Thanks for the review & the link, their entire product line looks really interesting. I see they have a store in KoP. Might be worth checking out. Has anyone any experiences with the rest of the line, and/or know if the shops give out samples?

Have only tried the original, which is a green citrus-herbal. VERY clean. Designed for people who don't like scent, or who have allergies to scent, or something like that, if I remember correctly. It is nice but not sure it is something that would attract a perfume addict.

Was puzzled by the KoP — but see that you mean they are in Bloomies & Nordstrom. Honestly not sure I've seen the line at either store there, but will look more carefully next time.

I received a decant of this at the LA Sniffa and I must say I love it! It's light and fresh without being overly citrusy – I am so happy to see it has finally been released, I have been nursing my decant along waiting for it.

Ah -sorry, I was under the impression that you were in the same geographical area as I am (thus the local acronym). My bad. Gendarme appears to have a shop in our local mega-mall, into which I almost never venture, but perhaps I will , to see if there are samples. What you say about not necessarily appealing to a perfume addict makes sense. I am pretty new to this whole world of scent, so I'm trying different things to see what works and what does not. An expensive hobby, this is turning out to be!

BTW, I really enjoy reading the blog, thanks for taking the time to build and maintain it.

LOL — we are misunderstanding each other! I do live near KoP, but there isn't a “Gendarme boutique” there so far as I know. However, the Gendarme website shows that their scents are sold at Bloomies & Nordstrom at KoP, so I thought that was what you meant!

I do venture there every 3-4 weeks to see what new scents they've got. If they'd only add a Saks, I'd never need go anywhere else — it really is a huge mall.

And many thanks for the very kind words about my site!

I have heard good things! Is it very clean?

Ah – now I understand. I misunderstood their website, in that I thought that they had an actual Gendarme shop in KoP. Thanks for the clarification.

No problem, I figured that was what happened. Guessing it might take “Sky” some time to make it to Nordstrom, but will try to look for it over the weekend.

I tried this for a week and could not get use to the smell and it still gave me a headache. There is a reason this item is not sold in stores. I did have a couple of people say it smelled ok, but I could not get it off quick enough.
