My friend will return the visit soon and I told him I will ask for a couple of bottles (I am almost set on Fleurs d'oranger from lutens and Mure et Musc from l'artisan) Plus gives me time to save and perhaps order some more, hehehe. I got to try the Dior Colognes too (Argent, Noir and blanche) I definitely like Blanche best. I did buy a Givenchy as a present to my dad for "Backing Up" my trip (provided emergency funds wich I thankfully did not use) I got him Insense Ultramarine Hawaii and at a very reduced price! (20 euro for 50 ml.) Sadly I did, just because I could not make up my mind ;-)

But not to worry!!

I think this was a new reviewer being snobbish just to stand out or...just to sound snobbish :) Sound interesting anyway and besides, Palisander was a "Natural" obtained using the chromatography technique. It is made very clear, also , that CDG uses a mix of old and "new" in their frags. And as anyone who has read a little about the biz nows, EVERY fragrance, besides perhaps some niche or exclusively "organic" ones, are made using SOME chemicals. CDG also was looking for some backlash when they released the notes for 53 and 71 ..."Dust on a lightbulb" anyone?? BUT the frags smelt good IMHO. Although I prefer Odeur 71, I also quite liked Odeur 53 - a lovely skin scent and, frankly, not all that unusual to my nose. Am definitely going to have to search out a sample of this one.
