I have a vivid memory of driving through California past a lemon grove in bloom, and I will never forget how heavenly the scent was. To this day I'm obsessed with citrus perfumes. I finally had a chance to try L'Occitane's Cherry Blossom, and found it very sweet as well, but it was so light that it wasn't cloying. Unfortunately it also disappeared from my skin within minutes - so probably not purchase-worthy for me. They may eventually add some soaps & bubble bath to the line which would be nice. I finally had a chance to try L'Occitane's Cherry Blossom, and found it very sweet as well, but it was so light that it wasn't cloying. They smell nothing like apples. They were my first floral love, and even now I'm watching the trees with anticipation. Likewise cherry blossoms are not fruity or sour. Will try to get back there and try on skin soon.
