Crabtree & Evelyn Folly, Jilt & India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily ~ new fragrances

Crabtree & Evelyn Folly perfumeFolly and Jilt are new from Crabtree & Evelyn, “modern classic fragrances inspired by the great vintage perfumes of the 20’s and 30’s”. Folly is…

'La Boheme in a bottle'. Fresh, daring, romantic. Lively top notes of leafy green, iris, apricot and peach, open to a fresh floral heart of cyclamen, muguet, jasmine, rose and lilac, warmed with an aristocratic accord of leather, cistus and vetiver.

Jilt is…

Perfect with 'jungle red' nails and dry martinis at the Ritz. Mysterious, seductive. Tempting high notes of mandarin and bergamot entwine with a sensuous heart of ylang ylang, orange blossom, rose and jasmine, finishing with a smouldering trail of amber, incense and sandalwood.

Folly & Jilt are $45 for 50 ml of Eau de Parfum, and are both available now.

Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Living Spider Lily FragranceNext month, Crabtree & Evelyn will launch the India Hicks Island Living Collection, including a new fragrance, Spider Lily:

Named for India's favorite island flower, a fragile white flower that grows by the edge of the sea, this fragrance captures the romantic spirit of the West Indies – blending the delicate perfume of the the spider lily with tropical citruses, orange blossom, night blooming jasmine, palm leaves and a touch of sea spray.

Spider Lily will be available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette ($50), and in Bath Salt, Shower Gel, Hand Wash, Body Polish, Soap and Body Cream. A home fragrance, Casuarina, will be launched at the same time. Look for them at Crabtree & Evelyn stores and at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Anthropologie and Holt Renfrew. Ms. Hicks is the daughter of designer David Hicks and the goddaughter of the Prince of Wales. She has worked as an interior designer and fashion model, and signed with Crabtree & Evelyn as spokeswoman last year.

I just had the opportunity to smell Jilt and it reminded me instantly of both Amor Amor with a little more of the twist that Betsy Johnson has on her – to me – similar smelling perfume to Amor Amor as well. I like it, but it is just already been done before. Jilt is far closer to Amor Amor that BJ is in my opinion.

Thanks — I finally smelled the India Hicks, but not the other 2. The bottles were pretty though!
