Congrats R! I'm very proud of you!

Overall I thought the awards were rather good this year. I was very pleased to see Guerlain take best house. I wish Antidote made it into the top 3 for best new men's fragrance – I don't think Euphoria was anything special that it needed to take second, but oh well. Not really many complaints, though.

    Congrats again, dear!

I thought they were good this year too! I was especially happy about Terre d'Hermes, as I thought it got dissed more than not on the boards.

    And thanks :-)

Congratulations on your well-deserved award! I agree that the awards in general were better (i.e. more to my taste) this year!

yes I was thrilled about Terre d'Hermes!! R, you're going to Sniffapalooza, right?

M, I doubt I'll go…I went to the first few and they are great fun (and the freebies are tremendous!) but I've got another trip scheduled to NY in early March and doubt I'll go twice in a month :-)

Thanks!! More to my taste too, and I think the choices for the celebrity scents are perfect.

Very well deserved. You strike a perfect balance between keeping us all so exceptionally well-informed, writing about the best of the new and the rest (and always dealing with one or two monsters too, so we don't have to!), and getting great articles from your contributors as well.
What's more, this is a delightfully friendly place, free of ego swagger. And if things couldn't get any better, your redesign is beautiful.
    Thanks R
(and I'm delighted Terre d'Hermes won too).

aww, well then I guess we're destined to run into each other at our KoP Neiman Marcus!!

I know what you mean, I've had to do some heavy overhauling of my end of March schedule to fit it in. I really think its a very poor weekend. I would have been better with the weekend before or after but they had to pick THAT weekend. Oh well. I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm surprised we haven't bumped into each other there already…they know me on sight, unfortunately! I'm sure you'll enjoy the Sniffa :-)

haha, they know me too. Some of them are nice, others I know are thinking “Here he comes, asking for 10,000 samples and buys nothing.”

One day, R, I can see it – we'll both be reaching for the same bottle and there'll be loud classical music all of a sudden – Il Trovatore overture, I think. And it will be a meeting made in cyber-space! Yes, I think thats how we'll meet.

Hip hip hooray indeed! I feel so lucky that the top three winners were the first, second, and third blogs to become daily reads for me in my ever-growing scentimental education — I think all three of you ladies bring very different and necessary sensibilities to the field and I'm grateful for all of you. Robin, your site is my delight, but also my encyclopedia — I'm constantly cross-referencing your site and use it as the starting point for all my (dangerous) web-shopping. You are my enabler, for sure, but also a much needed screener. THANK YOU!

    Congratulations!

NST, Bois de Jasmin And Perfume Smellin` Things are my three favorite blogs. In my book, it`s a three way tie for gold.

I enjoy your reviews and info on noses, houses and new scents and Angela`s musings on perfume very much.

I don`t comment much, but I love you blog.

Robin, I hope you aren't tired of hearing this, but congratulations on the well-deserved award. It couldn't have been given to a better blog/site.

And I think the re-design of NST is lovely — really appropriate!

Thanks again for your wonderful blog!
