Joop! Go fragrance for menJoop! will launch Go for men in February. The Joop! Go fragrance was created by perfumer Sophie Labbé and features notes of blood orange, rhubarb, chili pepper, cypress, violet, bourbon geranium, spruce balsam and oakmoss. Look for it in Eau de Toilette and a full range of matching body products. (via cosmoty.de) Update: Joop! Go is described as “…the youngest and most energetic side of Joop. Also in February, Bruno Banani, the upscale men's underwear line that advertises under the tag line “not for everybody”, will launch Pure Woman. The fragrance includes notes of freesia, blackcurrant, green tangerine, cyclamen, peony, mango, wood, amber and vanilla. (both above via cosmoty.de)

Banani is “not for everybody”, and, with those notes, the new scent is certainly “not for me”.

    …so why is a men's underwear line releasing a women's fragrance?????????

This Joop! Go sounds great. And oakmoss? Wow, that's so rare nowadays which is why I'm looking forward to it so much!

Have you seen the new Trussardi (men's) over at osmoz? Can't remember the name, but it sounds promising and the bottle is beautiful!

(Butting in) — no pun intended — BB does make underwear for women too. But I don't know WHY the line is “not for everybody.”

BB sounds better to me than the Joop! (both unsniffed of course). But I do want the model's shirt in the Joop! ad…love that green. K

I am excited about the Joop Go.

I really found the first Joop for men truly original and daring (it was basically what in other times was considered a woman's fragrance taking into account it's sweetness) but then nightflight, rococo and jump! all trumped my expectations.

I did like all bout adam, but it was not for me.

The banani thing is laughable as it conjures up banana smelling perfume and a lyric by Prince: “Soaked in banana cologne, No wonder you are all alone… It's written all over your face: You're rock hard in a funky place.” ;-)

Yes, they do now make products for women too — underwear & swimsuits, etc. I'll take the Joop myself over the BB though!

    The notes do sound good.

    Do you mean Trussardi Inside?

I have never tried anything by Joop — not even sure I've ever seen one. I know the fragrance discounters here carry the line.

Robin: I remember smelling out of a magazine scent strip both Jops (male and female) on the early nineties.

They are really sexy and certainly you should try them.

Do have into account that they are German perfumes, with the quirky sensibility that Germans have towards fashion, (Think Jil Sander/Joop they are at extremes on fashion sense).

If discounters carry the lines, you should try them, also the “all about eve” which was years ahead on the gourmand-apple trend (like DK delicious and Nina)

If I can find a way to try them without buying unsniffed, I surely will! Quirky is good, in my book.

    Yep, that's the one!

My marketing instinct (otherwise known as my cynicism) tells me that Joop! Go will smell reminiscent of Guess Man. Fruity Fougeres seems to be the trend that the market it taking a liking to.
As for Banani, it's interesting that a pure woman smells of a fruit bowl topped with caramel and whipped cream a la amber and vanilla!

LOL — that is cynical — what else would a woman smell like these days?
