I love cherry blossoms, and sometimes I feel like wearing a good cherry scent aside from my beloved iris or jasmine. I am looking forward to trying Guerlain's version of Sakura. As for Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, I have lots of emotions assosiated with that scent. When I close my eyes I see myself 6 years ago, enjoying a summery day with my best friend at a time Anna. I was only 14 and we were hanging out, in Poland, Warsaw where I originally come from. We decided to go to one of our beautiful, green and beautifully designed city parks, in the middle of our big city. We sat on one of the banches and she told me she had a little gift for me, and then she let me see what was inside of a gift box - and i found a bottle of EA Green Tea. I have always been big on drinking teas, so she thought it was a perfect gift for me, perhaps she was right. I enjoyed that scent whole summer long, though I wish it didn't vanish so quickly. My new inspiration, and a longer lasting version of a green tea scent is Mintea by Masaki Matsushima. It reminds me of that very special day with spent with my best friend but also lasts longer. Two thumbs up!

LOL at "Hello Kitty Pink Glitter"...I'm sure that one is next in line. It would go well with the Lolifluff thing. But glad to hear about the AAs, have been looking forward to the Mandarine Basilic, which with my luck will be the one that doesn't show in the US at all.

Yep, they are reaching lower and lower (agewise, that is). What is next, Cherry Blossom Hello Kitty Pink Glitter?

I hear that the new AA are going to be very lovely, much better than the previous offerings.

No doubt! She wouldn't even need the vinyl miniskirt. I adore Helen Mirren.

The first Cherry Blossom came out in 1999 -- the same year that they started the Aqua Allegorias, which I'd say are part & parcel of the same attempt to grab new, younger (an in the case of the CB, foreign) markets, so if it is any comfort (and it probably isn't) it isn't a completely new trend. And it doesn't entirely break my heart. If the proceeds from Cherry Blossom Fruity help fund the re-release of the old classics, I'm all for it!

But I cracked up too when I saw they put Fruity in the name! Still, it beats Lovely Cherry Blossom Gold Sparkles ;-)

The Fall of the House of Guerlain...

Is it just me, or does this trend of Guerlain's to release these silly, lightweight, fruity (MY GOD!! They put "fruity" in the NAME!!!), Britney-wannabe fragrances break the heart? It's as though I saw Helen Mirren walking down the street in a vinyl miniskirt and lucite pole-dancer shoes.

OTOH, I, too, want a lollipuff...
