It is really lemony and sweet when you first put in on but as it dries down I can smell a lot of green tones and possibly a tea-like layer. Maybe that's just me! It is a creamy, lemony scent, similar to Fresh Sugar or La Perla Eclix. I wouldn't say it is completely unisex, as it is somewhat sweet, rather than clean. I wore it yesterday layered with Ava Luxe Coconut perfume oil. The mixture was pina-colada-ish, but in a good way. :-) As for the Philosophy fragrance, I ordered this based on how it smelled on a scent-strip.
