Perfume in the news: Candie's & Clinique

Candies Heartbreaker1980s rock star Pat Benatar and newcomer Cheyenne will appear in TV and print advertising celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Candie’s brand. The TV spots will feature Benatar singing her 1980s hit Heartbreaker, the name of the Candie’s fragrance that launched at Kohl’s this month. (via brandweek & contactmusic)

Clinique will take the concept one step further for their Happy fragrance this December:

That’s when “Just Be Happy,” an original song commissioned for the fragrance and composed by gold and platinum selling singer-songwriter Ne-Yo, hits radio waves around the world. Performed in two different versions — one by gold and platinum pop star Rihanna and one by gold-certified country sensation Julie Roberts — “Just Be Happy” expresses the spirit of happiness in music much the same way CLINIQUE HAPPY does in fragrance.
