I am a fan of Vera Wang's Princess! I like scents that smell scrumptious (I wear lotion that smells like buttercream frosting from Avon) and this sure is one! I am in love with it and it is on my Christmas list! By the way, I am 25 years old!!

I have smelled the DK Gold and it is fabulous. I smelled all 3 concentrations and they are each a distinct smell. The EDT is basically a fresh bouquet of the Casablanca Lilly (which is DK's fave). The EDP is a balance of the fluid amber (a hazelnutty sensual kind of a scent) with the lillies. And the actual perfume is more the amber than anything else (which is how DK guesses gold would smell like it if had a scent). The EDP and the perfume will have a decorative hammered 24 karat like gold on a plate that covers both sides of the rectangular bottle.

This is the best fragrance of the year, times 3.

As to the Vera Wang, it is yummy if you like that sort of a scent. And pink frosting is a fancy way of saying vanilla because pink frosting is basically sugar, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and red food coloring. But VW must know that many people get turned off when they hear the word vanilla.

I have only smelled Princess briefly so far, and on a test strip at that, but it didn't attract me. I'd have to say the same for Baby Phat. For an older princess, I'd say this season's best release might be Guerlain Insolence, but of course there are many I haven't even had a chance to smell yet.

I have spent 2 yrs debating purchasing either Veil or Vera Wang's original scent. Then came the debut of Princess…in a heart bottle no less (my favorite shape/icon). I like it enough but it is one more fruity scent that fades and is not inspired – considering it comes from an inspired designer. It is similar to Love by Ana Sui and my Flower Bomb, Paradise, …or even Marina de Bourbon (hope I got the names right).

In other words, it is not off-putting but it is sweet, typically fruity, (for me) lacks dimension and nuance, and all in all, not memorable nor sophisticated. It is, one of the nicer fruity scents but it is not Veil nor Chamade nor Allure or Goutal or Creed. If it was less pricey, I would buy it but it is up there. I Do like the feminine packaging and approach but for older 'princesses' (I am one – we are called goddeses), I don't think this is for me. Anyone have thoughts on Baby Phat perfume?

Uhm, I took a sniff of Princess by Vera Wang the other day at Sephora. Not a fan! To me, it really didn't smell like anything special… Perhaps it was because of all of the other fragrances around me. But still, it was a disappointment. It seems like VW went from one extreme to another. Though, I still love her Vera Wang original, which will always be one of my main fragrances.

For me, big thumbs up for the DK and SR–can't wait! For those who love Casablanca lillies, try Antica Farmacista – Casablanca Le Parfum – lovely frag and drydown. Lasts a very long time. Those who love vanilla will appreciate it's base. Not too sweet or gourmand however.
