Eau d’Italie has launched Paestum Rose, a fragrance inspired by the roses that grow around the ancient town of Paestum, south of Naples:
Celebrated in Ovid and Virgil’s poetry, the mysterious origins of Paestum’s roses are lost in time: thought by some to be of a local species, others believe they were an acclimatised variety imported from the Orient. What is certain is that they flowered twice a year and their scent was unrivalled.
Famous for its perfumes, Paestum was also a centre of religious worship, where resins burned on temple altars scenting the air from afar. The rarest essences, the most precious spices were brought in from distant lands: incense, benzoin, myrrh and opoponax. Cinnamon, pepper and coriander. Osmanthus and papyrus.

Luckyscent has launched Untitled no. 2, a “completely unexpected twist on a tropical getaway”. The fragrance was created by Tristan Brando of Monyette Paris, and includes notes of black coconut milk, green coconut, Tahitian vanilla, Madagascar vanilla, heliotrope, light driftwood musk and Sicilian tangelo zest.

Having found a new love for interesting rose scents (Rosine's Ecume being my favorite, hands down), this one sounds verrrrrrry interesting! Must try! Thank you!

It's also available at a perfume bar called Barfumería in Madrid and it is an amazing scent. I've never particullary cared for anything Rose but this one is definetly somthing special. Paestum Rose is a contempory interpretation of the legendary origins of the ancient art of perfumery in Italy.
No apologies necessary, I completely understand your quest! Sometimes I think it's the search that's the big prize–smelling so many different scents, developing a keen nose, defining what you really want–rather than the actual fragrance that you settle on. (If “settling on” is even possible!)
