Clair de Jour is wildly expensive when you can find it nowadays. Does that happen with all fragrances when they've been discontinued for a while, or just the ones with a large fanbase? I really don't think it was anything special; "a soft, powdery floral scent with notes of bergamot, rose, jasmine, vanilla and sandalwood" sounds anything but exciting to me now. That's the way it goes, I guess – it's easy to forget how original some fragrances were when they came.

I also remember how new and fresh it smelled - rather like CK One, when it appeared. Everybody seemed to be wearing New West for a while in high school. I think I wore Lanvin's Clair de Jour back then. I only vaguely remember it; very soapy, I think, and probably rather age-appropriate.
