I will have to go check these out, R. I like the bottles. Reminds me a bit of the IM bottles you pointed out.

I like the bottles too…but brain dead here, what “IM bottles”??

Perhaps Kim means Issaye Miyake – the bottles are similar.

I did mean Issaye Miyake. Ack, sorry, R, I was afraid I would misspell it at that time of morning when I posted it.

No worries — I should have guessed, the bottles are so similar.

Somewhat off-topic, but I had to ask – does anyone else find that Mugler Cologne morphs into something that is eerily similar to Angel on your skin? I tried it a while back and the longer it sat on my wrist, the more it smelled like Angel's rather more prim and proper daytime alter ego. Very sneaky! Not bad, but not at all what I expected.

Hmmm…I don't find them alike at all, but then Angel doesn't work on me & I love Cologne, so perhaps I am just in denial :-)

Perhaps it's just my chemistry that's off. I can't specify exactly what it was that reminded me of Angel in it; it was still a very cool, fresh fragrance on my skin, which Angel emphatically isn't. The only note they seem to have in common is bergamot. I would never have guessed that bergamot, of all things, is the common note, but that must be it, I expect.

Angel does work very well on me, and I'm very fond of it; I liked Cologne too – rather more than I expected, in fact, because of the strange similarity to Angel in the drydown. Citrusy fragrances usually just turn household cleaner on me.

I will have to try them together some time…almost everything has bergamot in the top notes, so it seems odd that that one note alone would be the trigger for you.

Yes, and although I could detect the bergamot in Cologne, Angel doesn't really smell of it at all to my nose. Funny.
