Une Folie de Rose is the latest release from Les Parfums de Rosine, and has notes of coriander, bergamot, rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine, sandalwood, amber, oakmoss, vetiver, and patchouli.
Une Folie starts out very dense and sweet, and for a few minutes I thought this might have more patchouli and ylang ylang than I could stand. Both notes calm nicely, leaving a softly spicy floral chypre; the rose is blended with the other floral notes and does not stand out on its own as much as it does in many of the other Rosines…

Today is the 12th annual Sense of Smell day, and the Sense of Smell Institute is sponsoring events at a number of children's museums and science centers across the United States. For more information, see here.

The microfiber in Puma's Naughty 1 Active Cat workout wear, new this season, releases a light ginseng fragrance as you sweat, masking odor for up to 30 washings.
That is not particularly appealing to me, but the technology is interesting.

If you are looking for a lily of the valley fragrance and don’t care for Diorissimo, Muguet des Bois by Coty is worth a try. I have not been able to find a list of the notes online, but this is a soliflore and I don't smell any notes other than lily of the valley with a touch of green. It is a sweeter, cleaner, less sparkling fragrance than Diorissimo, and has a slight hint of soap.
