Fragrance of the day: Bvlgari Omnia, but no review today…

Last night I stayed up late fiddling around with my iPOD instead of putting the finishing touches on today's fragrance review. Now snowed in with small child. Will probably have to play 20-odd rounds of Candyland before the day is through. If that doesn't rot my brain entirely, will post a real fragrance review tomorrow.

I love Bvlgari Omnia. It has reportedly been spotted recently at TJ Maxx, but I've had no luck finding it at mine so far.

[Note: the snow crystal image is from the USDA's Agricultural Research Center.]

(((R))) Do you have much snow? We had some, then it rained, now it is sunny…weird weather.

All those TJMaxx sightings are just myths, I swear. All mine seems to have is some stale soap made by companies I never heard of and yucky candles.

You got an Ipod!! Yay for you–I know you've been wanting one! Have fun with your boy today. You smell nice, btw.

M, we don't have a ton. Guessing 5 inches? But school was actually already cancelled for parent-teacher conferences, and now those are cancelled too.

I have 2 TJ Maxx stores near me. One is much better than the other, for fragrance anyway, but no Omnia :-(

L, got one for my birthday last month! It is an even bigger time & money drain than fragrance, LOL :-)

I got a call at 4:30 AM to get the snow chain started. School is cancelled. We've gotten at least 7″ of new snow.

The girl & the dog are outside having lots of fun. I'm tired & just want more sleep.

Oh & I've got to try Omni….someday. *sigh*

C, 4:30 am is just *wrong* — ours starts at 7 am and that is plenty early enough for me! My son is now out sledding & so I am getting a reprieve from the Candyland marathon. Hope you get a nap :-)

Ah, home all day long with a small child. I miss those days and I don't miss those days!

DH and I are debating whether we want to give our 12-yr-old an iPod. Hmm, now that you say it's a money drain. . . .

    Have a good weekend!

Snow days! I remember those. I loved them!

And, Candyland! I loved playing that with my kids when they were in pre-school. With a good mug of hot chocolate and marshmallows–now you're really “cooking with gas”! :) :)

Enjoy this time with your little one, R. It will be over before you know it.

    And, btw–you smell great, woman!

    Hugs and love!

Iris, My plug for the iPOD: if you're a music buyer anyway, the iPOD will probably save you money in the long run, since you can buy individual songs without having to buy the whole CD. And guessing your 12 year old won't be buying the matching Bose speakers? It is silly I guess, but I really think iPODs are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

So true, R. Hard to believe I'll ever miss Candyland, but I guess I will! Off to make the hot chocolate…and hugs to you :-)

You only have one child to contend with. I've got 3!!

I find that playing red light green light works pretty good too, entertainment wise!!Enjoy your music!!

Hey R – enjoy your time with H and I second Robin's suggestion of playing with a great big mug of hot chocolate. :)

I spent a lot of time uploading music to my ipod too.

Need to before my journeys. ;D

    Warm hugs!

I do not like Omnia – my skin chemistry I guess. :(

We would buy a speaker system also if we decided to get the iPod. We worry about hearing loss resulting from long-term use of earphones to listen to loud music.

    Still debating. . . . :o )

N, I know you do not like my poor Omnia. Sometime we will have to exchange our iPOD playlists ;-)

Hope you have a fabulous trip!

I like Omnia – last year I loved it and would wear nothing but. Its first sniff is too sweet for me now, but still love the dry-down. Exotic and pretty!

Why? What are you doing with it? Once I got my cd and a few Itune songs uploaded, all I do is sit back, relax and listen. You're so energetic.

I meant CD(S) —of course, if I only had ONE it wouldn't take much time at tall.

The top notes are a bit sweet, but I love the dry down too, and it lasts for hours on me. Can still smell this morning's spray.

Not energetic at all, L — just a putterer & a procrastinator by nature. If there is something that really needs to get done ASAP, likely as not I'll plop myself down in front of the computer and mindlessly rearrange my playlists for hours :-)

Snow is pretty only for the first five minutes and then it gets annoying. So, I feel for you. Have a great day with your boy! :)

Aw, I'm jealous, actually. I haven't seen a good snow in my yard since… god, forever. Such is life in Oregon I guess. If we want to see snow we've got to go to the trouble of heading up the mountain, which can be considerably frustrating.

Candyland, heh. I remember just how much I loved that game when I was wee, but now that I'm a mom, I SO feel for you on that point. I can hardly make it through one whole game without trying to get my boys to play checkers or Memory instead. Hang in there, and hope you have fun today!

V, thanks, the day turned out very well despite the snow :-)

K, I don't know why Candyland irritates me more than any other children's board game. Tried to convince my son that if you are able to read the Candyland story on the inside of the box, you are too old to actually play the game, LOL — no dice (excuse the bad pun).

I wish I could love this, but I had a roommate that all my friends and neighbors nicknamed “Nasty” because she was such a disgusting pig. She'd leave dishes in the sink until they grew slimy, brown mold. At this point I would have to wash them myself. Anyway, she always wore this perfume. I really like the way it smells, but I tried to wear it again yesterday and it made me sick thinking about her. Damn you Nasty, where ever you are now!

M, that is a common complaint with Omnia. I must be very lucky as it lasts all day on me :-)

LOL — poor Omnia, to have such an association! I have had unfortunate roommates too, but luckily none of them had a signature scent.
