Apres Tout is calling my name…I think…I am actually not sure if I have tried a single Fragonard in my entire life …shame on me.

I could kick myself for forgetting to try these last month! (Perfume fell by the wayside for the most part on that trip.) Soudain and Mensonge sound really intriguing, though Neela's impressions dampen my enthusiasm somewhat. I'm really eager to try the line to satisfy my curiosity.

M, I don't love any of the old Fragonards myself, although I adore Eau de Garrigues from the Naturals line. Gave these all a quick spray on paper at Barneys & would say they are well done. Soudain is the only sample I was able to snag though!

L, got a sample of Soudain, which was my early favorite based on a quick spray on paper — which I already figured it would be, based on the notes. Hopefully will manage to review it soon.

For a second, I thought that bottle and box for Shalimar were of my dad's old favorite Crown Royal whiskey.

Seeing the Shalimar bottle reminds me of that ridiculous ad campaign for Shalimar Light a while back…the one with Keith Richards' and Patti Hansen's daughters. That struck me as a little odd…they were obviously going for the young & glamorous look, but Theodora and Alexandra Richards? Not exactly hot properties.

Wow, I missed that entirely. Will have to go see if I can hunt it up on one of the perfume ad sites.

    Happy Birthday, Shalimar!

I'll be sniffing the new Fragonards on my next trip to NYC. I currently wear Lune de Miel, Reve Indien, Eau Fantasque, and Fragonard de Fragonard. Cette Nuit La sounds like something I would enjoy.

Interesting ad, and I would say un-Guerlainish except that I don't follow advertising closely enough to say — for all I know, most of their new ads look equally young & hip.

Do let me know what you think, C — wish I had managed to get samples of all 4.
