Celebrity perfume news: J Lo & Marilyn Manson

You can watch the new television ad for Jennifer Lopez Live at the New Woman website. (via revolution)

More on the upcoming fragrance from Marilyn Manson: he says that his scent was inspired by “the fashion-art collaborations between Salvador Dali and Elsa Schiaparelli”. (via irishexaminer, link no longer working, sorry!)

You know, I tried the new J-Lo, and I like it! Much better than the new Britney, which smells like cotton candy flavoring syrup in the topnote and then spun cotton candy from there on out. J-Lo's Live smells wonderfully like lychee, with a warm undercurrent. Very wearable. I gotta say, Ms. Lopez gets props from me for her scents so far.

T, tried the Britney but not the J Lo as yet. According to my local Sephora the Britney is the bigger seller, at least so far. Will have to go back & try the Live. I think Sephora is starting to suspect that I am some kind of stalker, I spend so long in the store.

I got to see that ad for the JLo Live at an event at Kaufmanns a few weeks ago. I couldn't take my eyes off of her! It is amazing, spellbinding in fact. The way the dress flows, her moves, the hair, the slow-motion sections, I was actually gaping at the screen. And I've never really been a huge fan, but wow, she is stunning in that ad!

P, I am sure it was way more impressive at Kaufman's than it was on my tiny little computer screen! Looking forward to seeing it on “real” TV.

It was, Robin! They had huge screens set up at this special Trend Show for fragrance and cosmetics. Annie and I went together. Of course I bought the juice!

*gag* I love Britney, but her scents have been such yuck. The bottles, though, are totally cute.

P, wish I could have been there with you guys — you always do the best shopping trips!

Oh, that is a laugh! We were here in our two-mule town! But Annie and I always manage to do well shopping, even if it's a stop at our local TJMaxx.
