Chances are the confusion arises from the fact that Ungaro and Ferragamo are both marketed and distributed in the U.S. by Gary Farn, Ltd.. Gary Farn is a capable and respected organization – although it looks like they may need to pay a little closer attention to whoever's writing their press releases…

Yes the Salvatore Ferragamo group hold the license to Emanuel Ungaro fragrances. Up until a few years ago they were both part of Chanel

Haven't liked any of the Chantal Thomass scents yet, but I keep trying.

Smelled the Violette Menthe last month and it was quite nice, albeit very light – don't expect a lot of oomph or staying power from it, but it is very nice and fresh for summer.

All of these sound good to me today, even the Apparition for men. But didn't care for Apparition for women, and have never tried a single Chantal Thomass. So much to do, so little time…

wasn't Apparition (for women) from Ungaro? did Ferragamo appropriate the name for its version? So much citrus in the notes for these, did you notice? Except for the Brosseau, which even then uses Bergamot. I love your reportage! thank you!
