It's exceptionally spicy--but the green tea note mellows it out a bit, after the initial burst of spice dissipates. However, the nutmeg remains peircing right into the drydown. There is something soothing about nutmeg notes, I think. The spice is there--but it's not dominant enough to feel like needles in the nose. The violet note gives the slightest nod of powder, enough to calm the beast. The vanilla, amber and rose give it a nostalgic, evening appeal. It's a powerful scent but I don't find it loud enough to be offensive. It's very "Belle-Du-Jour"; racy enough to raise eyebrows but classy to the core.
