I really like the Orange Blossom one. Wish it came in an atomizer instead of the corked bottle. And going to try Iris soon :-)

I have a decant that I bought from eBay. It seems next to impossible to find an extensive selection of Côté Bastide from which to choose. A shame since this is truly a fabulous line! I have tried many, and not a disappointment in the bunch. The Lin is talked of most often, and it's nice enough, but keep exploring...they get even better!

I so agree! :o) I just received this from my mom as a gift. She asked the Jo Malone SA at the Boston Saks to show her the "green" J. Malones. Well, he had to ask her what she meant by "green!" Are you kidding me? LOL! She then explained and after this was one he showed her. She knows I love fig scents, so the combo of notes in this is perfect for me! Lasting power is great too. We often hear JM lacks staying-power: all is good in the Fig & Cassis.

If I were a bigger vanilla lover, I think it would have appealed to me more. I am still not sure if what appeals to me in Philosykos is primarily the fig or the wood.

I sampled this recently and referred your review of it on the 13th. This cozy skin scent really appeals to me. Soft fig warmed by vanilla. It's probably not enough fig for fig lovers, but it's just right for me.

I'm so glad you liked the Mathias, it is really pretty. I think I like an earthier fig like Diptyque Philosykos. My silly BBW doesn't have the HB scents yet, only the candles.

I had now idea you could grow fig trees on the east coast! I need to plant one.

Let's see...I tried the Mathias Eau de Figue, and instantly loved it! It has a more rounded fig note than Jo Malone, and is a little sweeter, no real earth notes. Wonderful staying power. I also tried the Henri Bendel Fig; but this was only a brief spritz at BBW. It's a nice fig, but nothing to get excited about, in my opinion.

My grandmother lived in New Jersey, so the humid climate really brought the garden smells to life after a rainstorm. I think this is the only fragrance so far that has transported me to a wonderful memory.

I see that I will have to get back over to Neiman Marcus! What other figs did you try & like?

And where did your grandmother live? I honestly don't think I've ever smelled a real fig tree.

I bought Jo Malone Wild Fig & Casiss unsniffed and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! Fig scents have been my most recent focus, and through our beloved blog here, I have added a couple more to my collection.

The Jo Malone fig is very green and earthy, a very "clean" fig--as soon as I sprayed it I was transported back to my grandmother's backyard and smelled the fig trees after a summer rain. Happy memories, this fragrance is definitely a winner for me!
